ASME HPS-2003 Standard, a safety guide for
high pressure system!
The ASME HPS-2003 standard for high pressure systems provides
the engineer, designer and facility manager with system safety guidance
and risk based criteria for personnel and equipment based on design
and location of the high pressure system and its components. ASME
HPS-2003 complements ASME SECTION VIII of the Boiler
and Pressure Vessel Code as well as ASME B31.3-2002 Process Piping.
HPS-2003 provides guidance to the Engineer for determining
the safety requirements that should be taken into account not only
with regard to system design, but also to the space that it will
occupy, and how its failure could impact its surroundings. As well,
it provides guidance for the safe operation and maintenance of a
high pressure system.
This standard is essential for every user of ASME Section VIII
of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ASME B31.3 Process
Piping.
It is a must-have for every Facility Manager having in-house pressure
equipment operating at pressures above 10,000 psi. 73 pp.
